Derived from a playful twist on bisa (“can/able to”), spoken with a sarcastic or doubtful tone. Commonly used among Jakarta youth to express disbelief toward someone's claim, rather than neutrally questioning their ability. The word “bokis” is part of Indonesian 1990s slang culture.
